On February 22, I traveled to Sedona Arizona to perform the Andrew Lloyd Webber tribute show. This was the first time I have been to Sedona Arizona, and it was an amazing journey. After a full day of travel, including a four hour layover in Austin Texas, the first thing I noticed when I got off the travel van, was the incredible smell of pine. The second thing I noticed was the cold, dry air. At least cold for me being used to the Florida climate.
It was great to spend so much time with the musicians I have come to know and love, and then to perform this amazing show, which was an incredible blast. It's really great when the sound and stage crew are on the ball and you can hear yourself and the other musicians on stage. All of us were very happy with our performance.
Afterwards, several members of the audience told us it was the best show they had ever seen there. And the powers that be told us right away that they wanted us back next year.
I recorded a lot of video footage on this trip and posted the videos as several installments of my video journal on Facebook. But I will be editing the footage together and posting it here on my website as one complete video.
As we do more and more of the shows, we've been doing proximately 10 shows a year for the last four years, I am beginning to love traveling to new places, and performing for new people.
Till next time,
it's about the music
